nice on the riviera, you have to go at least once a year

we just came back from Nice, definetly a visit worth aspacially when you live in Berlin, which is cold and clowdy most of the winter.
In Nice, we were just strolling in the small streets of the old town(Vielle Ville) with it's charming stores and shops. We came to a shop called Nirvana where you can buy beautiful turquoise rings and dream catchers on 10 rue du Collet -06300 Vieux Nice.
The music in the shop caught our attention and we asked the shop keeper what it was that they were listening to. They gave us the CD name, it was the group "Hotel Costes" with the song "Adios".
The weather is always sunny in Nice and the light gives the sea a special color, that is what made so many famous artists work there (Chagall, Picasso). Just walk along the Baie des Anges the Bay of Angels as the promenade in Nice it's called and let your eyes enjoy the view.
Lay on the free pebble beach in February (as we did) or sit in one of the cafes right on the beach and let the time pass by.
Don't miss the port of Nice with it's beautiful yachts. You can sit right on the side in a cafe and have a french breakfast : baguette with butter and confiture and a big coffee for 10€ (for two)
You can sit there as long as you want. 50 meter away is the bus No: 17 or 100 which takes you to the next village, Villefranche. It only takes 10 minutes and the bus rides are very cheap €3,50 for a ticket.
This is a charming little port with lots of Boulangeries (bakery's). A must see and taste is the food market in the center of the village if you go on a Saturday morning.
